BUTTERFLY RECORDINGS

Welcome to Butterfly Recordings a new British Folk label

We have a number of exclusive releases in the coming year and also hope to spread the word "What the Folk!" with our monthly Folk Club Nights.

So, please support our artists by listening to the music, buying the albums and coming to see them play live.

Now get the Folk on with it! (sorry!).

Gigs:

After the success of the “What the folk” residency at Mau Mau on Portobello rd in 2005/6 we moved down to Brixton’s classic sleaze pit - The Windmill - putting on regular showcases throughout 2006, the next being Monday, March 26th at the windmill again with the usual suspects: Duke Garwood, Indigo Moss and debuting material from her upcoming album- Samantha Marais

A big thanks to everyone who made the trip up to North London for the great Karen Dalton night at the Luminiere in Kilburn before xmas. We have been asked to take the show to Kendal womens festival in April along side other acts as Patti Smith, Cat Power and more.

Also Indigo Moss after a fine tour supporting the Howling Bells and Badly Drawn Boy are lining up to be part of The Good The Bad and the Queens touring “vaudaville” shows across the UK in Jan/Feb.
